Step 1: Unbox Your Trezor Wallet

When you receive your Trezor hardware wallet (Model One or Model T), ensure the packaging is sealed and untampered. Your box should contain:

• Trezor device
• USB cable
• Recovery seed cards
• Quick start guide
• Stickers

If anything looks suspicious, stop and contact Trezor Support immediately.

Step 2: Visit the Official Start Page

To begin setup, go to the official Trezor start page: https://trezor.io/start. This will ensure you download the correct and secure Trezor Suite software.

Step 3: Download Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the all-in-one platform to manage your crypto. It's available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can also use the web version.

• Desktop Version: More secure, supports full features.
• Web Version: Convenient, but ensure browser security is updated.

Step 4: Connect Your Device

Using the included USB cable, connect your Trezor to your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions in Trezor Suite. The device will prompt you to:

• Install the latest firmware (first-time use only)
• Create a new wallet or recover an existing one

Note: Always verify details on your Trezor screen before confirming actions.

Step 5: Backup Your Recovery Seed

This is the most important step. Your Trezor will display a 12, 18, or 24-word recovery seed. Write it down on the provided recovery card and store it in a safe, offline location.

• Never: Take a photo of the seed
• Never: Store the seed on a cloud or email
• Always: Keep it private and offline

Step 6: Add Coins and Start Using

Once your wallet is set up, you can start sending and receiving supported cryptocurrencies such as:

• Bitcoin (BTC)
• Ethereum (ETH)
• Litecoin (LTC)
• Cardano (ADA)
• ERC-20 tokens and many more

You can view your balances, manage transactions, and connect with DeFi apps securely using Trezor Suite.

Step 7: Stay Secure

Your Trezor wallet protects your keys, but good habits matter. Here are some best practices:

• Use a strong PIN and never share it
• Enable passphrase (advanced users)
• Verify all transactions on your device screen
• Beware of phishing websites and fake support links
